The Role

We are looking for a strategic and creative problem solver with a passion for innovation to join our team and revolutionize the health insurance industry.

Your work will start with deeply understanding customer needs and prioritizing those needs while developing product roadmaps to deliver on meeting customer expectations. In this role you will own a software product line, from building the business case, and understanding customer requirements through release and eventual retirement, including ensuring the financial success of the product.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with senior executives to understand how the product offering must support the business mission
  • Design and bring to market revenue-generating, customer-driven software solutions that compete favorably in the market
  • Identify market opportunities and product/market fit through customer research and industry insights
  • Prioritize customer needs and develop product roadmaps to deliver on meeting customer expectations
  • Build products that solve important problems and deliver exceptional user experiences
  • Own the product lifecycle from requirements gathering through a series of releases and customer success
  • Act as a key spokesperson for product strategy and direction
  • Lead, create and launch market-leading product offerings in partnership with sales, marketing, engineering, user experience, and support
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing on pricing, field enablement, and go-to-market campaigns necessary for launch
  • Work with heads of other departments to budget resources for new product development and introduction
  • Help identify and support strategic product and channel partnerships to advance the business

Qualifications 

  • At least 3 years previous experience in a product management, project management, product owner, business analyst, or related role, preferably in a software business
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading the end-to-end product lifecycle for consumer or enterprise offerings
  • Experience with Agile software development and methodologies
  • Proven expertise leading cross-functional teams that successfully launch projects
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to think and lead complex projects simultaneously 
  • Excellent communication skills. You need the ability to explain complex topics in easy to understand and concise language
  • Ability to rapidly switch gears while retaining focus on the bigger picture
  • Demonstrated ability to coach others and be coached
  • Candidates must be resilient, ambitious, adaptable, able to deal with ambiguity, intellectually curious, and have a sense of humor
  • Bonus points for industry experience related to insurance, health, payroll, HR, employee benefits, or something similar

Front-End Developer/Designer

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for someone with great front-end technical skills plus a strong interest in UX/UI design. Reporting to the Director of User Experience, you’ll manage the front-end development of cloud-based web applications. You’ll ensure that the online experience meets the needs of the end users and work closely with stakeholders to develop products that deliver best-in-class usability.

The ideal candidate:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience developing front-end solutions for mobile and web applications
  • Expert-level proficiency with front-end development technologies, e.g., HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Javascript, jQuery, Angular, etc
  • Experience using LESS or SASS CSS preprocessors
  • Advanced knowledge of UX/UI design strategy and best practices
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work in an Agile development framework
